Dear Prospective Participant,
Thank you for inquiring about our Baseball Schools. We feel that we have the
premier instructional baseball school in the country. My staff is dedicated
to making your stay the single most important week in your baseball career.
The purpose of the Mike Martin and Seminole Advanced Baseball Schools is to
teach the fundamentals of baseball to various age levels, helping each
participant to better understand the game. The schools will also aid in
further development of individual skills through instruction, individual and
multiplayer drills, video tapes and game experience as well as interaction
with players off the field in a great camp setting. Campers will work hard
but have fun doing so.
Our 2008 FSU Baseball Team is made up of 17 Alumni Campers. In the past ten
years, over 100 former campers have gone on to wear the Seminole uniform.
Many other former participants have gone to other colleges and junior
colleges as well as to the height of professional baseball. Our honor roll
includes Collegiate All-Americans, 26 First Round draft picks (1990, 1993, &
2005 First Pick), 1997(2nd), 1998(5th), 2002(2nd) and Major Leaguers as
well.
We want to see the best players in the country on our campus. Instructors
will include Coaches Martin and Baker, Jamey Shouppe, FSU Baseball
Recruiting Coordinator, and Mike Martin Jr., assistant coach, as well as a
veteran staff of college, junior college, and high school coaches. A
majority of the staff consists of former Florida State players who share our
goals to teach the game of baseball. The staff works in harmony to provide
each individual the utmost in instruction. We definitely have the types of
baseball schools that will fit your needs and prepare you for a better
baseball experience in the years to come. I am looking forward to seeing you
this summer!
Sincerely,
Mike Martin
